Mama Loves a Podcast

I am obsessed with podcasts. I’ve written a previous post about podcasts to listen to without your husband, this version is what to listen to if you’re a mama like me. There is a plethora of good advice out there on parenting, these podcasts keep it real, keep you laughing (sometimes crying), and are totally worth the listen. I got hooked on podcasts after I had Brooks and had lots of time driving around if he was asleep, sitting in an empty house  when he was napping, and just feeling like I needed someone. In this case, someone to listen to and make it feel like I wasn’t alone.

PodcastOne: Mama Said with Jamie-Lynn Sigler & Jenna Parris

This is my newest find and I LOVE it. There aren’t a ton to binge on because it just recently began but I love their advice and the fact that they both have older kids, as well as younger kids. They approach such great topics like mom friends, mom guilt, and postpartum depression. Definitely a MUST listen. If you choose any one to listen to off of this list, have this be it.

PodcastOne: For Crying Out Loud with Lynette Carolla and Stefanie Wilder-Taylor

This one just makes me laugh. They complain a lot about their kids, husbands, and life. They don’t do a whole lot of advice, but it is fun to vent along with them sometimes. They also release episodes twice a week which is nice, although you can’t binge on all the previous episodes which is not nice.

The Longest Shortest Time | WNYC | New York Public Radio with Hillary Frank

There is such a huge variety of content on this one that there is something for everyone. I started way at the beginning and fell in love with it. There is also a variety in how long the episode are so you’ll sail through some and some take a bit longer. It really is a great show that could leave you feeling uplifted and positive, or crying and emotional. Good stuff.

One Bad Mother with Biz Ellis and Theresa Thorn | Maximum Fun

This one is also just funny. Again, I started way at the beginning from episode 1 and it made me fall in love. The host’s kids are now older than Brooks so their advice is less valuable, but nonetheless there are tons of previous episode that give good advice, but also just make you feel like we’re all in this together. Biz cracks me up but I’ve heard some people don’t like her laugh…but that is a small price to pay for the great content.

Any faves to share?? That’s it for now friends.
